[color=indigo]Lesson 1: Submission-(Intro to Gor/Principles/Submission/ basic speech)Here you will answer the questions that lead you to your current place in Gor. Why are you here. What has driven you to submit and what will befound beyond the realm of Gor.It is recommended that Book 1: Tarnsmen of Gor is read before you begin this lesson and it's assignments. ~ You should be able to answer the following::What is Gor and what is it founded on :: What is and why have you submitted ::What is the difference between Kajira and all the other sub's :: What is slave speech:: And what is Online'ism and Kassar.
Allura is here because she belongs here… She was brought here from earth. it is a distant memory. Her old self, fading with each passing day, she is consumed by her true self. Her new self. Long ago there was another girl who lead a totally different existence. The woman she once was has been lost in this new life. She now lives only to please and be pleasing. She is a slave, Allura knew this not when she went about her business day to day , always something in the back of her mind. She could not define it , but there were those who did. When she was taken aboard one of the ships of acquisition she was oblivious to what her life was to be like. She would be awakened from her torpor. Her true existence would be laid before her and she would embrace it as a dark lover.
When she awakened on Gor she was terrified. She was somewhere else. She was in a world where she was a caged animal. She had no rights. She was branded and collared. She was stripped of all she ever knew and was totally alone. But yet there were others in her state as well. They were all women!
That is what Gor is, it is a harsh world where women are slaves and Men are Masters. It is a way of life. Slavery is a natural part of everyday life and it is accepted as being the right. The principal that “Men rule by might and strength” is how this world keeps its balance. To be sure there are strong Women, but that is a rarity. Those women who are “lucky enough” to not be collared must watch themselves carefully lest they end up in the kennels themselves. Because a woman is Free does not mean she is safe. Any woman may be collared if there is a Man strong enough to do so.
Free Women are a minority as most women are slaves. But even among the slaves there are those who set themselves above others. These girls as they are referred to are the Kajira. They are a special group. They are trained to be pleasing. They are the pride of a Master’s kennel. They Serve the Master in ways that others do not. They attend to the Master’s personal needs… not always sexual. Some do, no doubt. But they are trained to be pleasing. They are trained in service, dance, music, and other things that please the Master. They are “given” beautiful outfits. They are given things that say a scullery slave or a factory slave would not. They have proven that they are pleasing and are rewarded in their being granted to serve the Master. To be at Master’s side, to show their love and obedience to Him.
A Kajira is different than most slaves and submissives in that they have given over totally to their Master’s. They have no rights, they have no limitations, no safe word that will end their torment. They are totally at Master’s whim. Their whole world is to please and be pleasing to Master. The joy they get is the smile on Master’s face or a gentle stroke of the head. They are quick to be praised or even quicker to be punished. They are expected to be nothing less than perfect. They are always learning. Always seeking new ways to please Master. A Kajira never thinks she has learned enough, she learns constantly by observing her sisters, and other kajira, and accepting the corrections and critique of her peers. She is always watching her Master and anticipating what he desires even before He knows.
Submission is an integral part of being a kajira when she first arrives on Gor a Kajira may fight it but bit by bit she comes to understand who she is and it is only a matter of time before she does submit. It is something that comes from within. In some it is inherent in some it must be nurtured. But all women have it to some degree. The desire to give themselves totally over to the control of a man . Allura knew it long ago but never found the one to whom she could truly submit. Not on earth. Here on Gor… she has found it.
Addressing some of the other points of this lesson one is: slave speech . Most consider third person speech to be slave speech. Not using any possessives such as I, me, my, mine. Unless the are used to indicate ones Master ie: “my Master sent Allura with this message… or “My Mistress is M’Lady Aasiyah of Anango, Master”. Slave speech is also indicated by capitalizing the names and titles of Master’s and Mistress’.
: online’isms. These are ways of describing things that would be observed if the situation we RL. Such as describing the way “her silks flow behind her as a gossamer trail“ . It also refers to things that have become “the norm” from years of online RP. Such as the Karta or prostration. Begging for leave to use the loo or answer a phone call. And Kassar: a made up language that is supposed to be Gorean speech but is rarely used anywhere but online and that seems to be less and less.
